Back in April, I posted Twittering for The Big Trip!. It was an experiment. The idea was to see if people would follow me on Twitter in exchange for me purchasing pixel blocks on PAIDBYPIXELS.COM. Originally, I agreed to buy one pixel block for every 2000 followers. Then, after speaking to Neal Campbell, I changed it to one pixel block for every 500 followers.
In the first article in this series, I discussed hard drives. Now we are on to memory. Based on the questions I receive most, I would say that memory is the least understood part of a computer that the basic consumer should know something about.
I sometimes get asked why I have ads on this site. Am I selling something? No. Free sites like mine are not actually free. Domain name registration, hosting etc. actually do cost money. And the more visitors you have, the more they cost because of the amount of bandwidth you use.
As you can see by the dates of my previous posts, I have been neglecting this website. Work, life and other obligations sometimes get in the way. In my case, it was work. That situation has now been corrected. I am now able to dedicate more time to this website and my other technology related initiatives. So, if you have been reading this site and wondered if I had abandoned it, I have not. Be prepared for lots of updates. If your new to this site, I ask you to disregard the lapses in updates in the past.
